In LensCrafters and Hour Eyes and Pearl Visions around the world, this conversation is happening…
“Right back at ya, self.”
“Self, wouldn’t it be great to buy one pair of glasses that was normal inside and changed into sunglasses outside?”
“That would be pretty amazing. I think I’ve seen people wearing those, but they never quite look right inside. People kind of have that serial killer/kindy sunglassy look inside.”
“Yeah, I know what you mean. But self… we are pretty awesome.”
“I think we can pull it off. I really do.”
“Are you sure? I don’t want to look like some kind of d-bag. Do you?”
“Us? Would never happen. Look at us in the mirror there. WE ARE CRUSHING THIS LOOK!”
Next thing you know, this guy becomes another casualty of the Transitions Lens Trap. By “this guy,” I don’t mean who has two thumbs and is total awesome sauce. Because that guy, er me, would not fall into that trap. Well, at least I haven’t so far.
What do you think happens to people when they are buying glasses that might make them fall into that trap? Have you? Can I throw you some rope or something to pull you out?
